I was seriously not expecting Jamie to have been biologically female. That aside, this is beautifully written and a bit of a happy/sad ending. Happy because Jamie is now who he truly is, but sad he had to good bye to Tybalt. Again, beautifully written. That worried me a bit; sometimes too much time (and lack of editorial oversight) can be the worst thing that can happen to a writer. Maybe I escaped that this time. I don't really know what else to say here, I don't have words to really describe what a feel. A certain amount of regret for Jamie, but coupled with the raw feeling of understanding for his decision as well as Tybalt's. I think of all your tales for him, this is my favorite.
